The 18th Annual Spring Beer & Wine Fest held at the Oregon Convention Center is known for exceptional artisan food and drink! The festival partners with the Portland chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to send children who are battling neuromuscular diseases to summer camp. Multiple local craft breweries and wineries will generously donate one-of-a-kind specialty beers and wines that will only be available at the MDA booth. The Spring Beer & Wine Fest will be open Friday ? Saturday, April 6-7, 2012, from Noon ? 11 p.m. both days at the Oregon Convention Center. Minors accompanied by an adult are permitted until 7 p.m. each day

Festival-goers will enjoy samples of 80+ craft beers, 30+ regional wineries, and many local artisan spirits. Food such as specialty cheeses and handcrafted chocolates will be offered for taste. The festival will also offer a global shopping marketplace, and host cooking demonstrations & educational seminars on the Chef?s Stage with live music featuring local bands.

Admission:
Admission is free for the first 1000 each day! Tasting packages are available for $20 per person which includes: admission, a wine glass or plastic beer mug and 10 tokens to use at vendor booths. Extra Sampling tokens are $1 each and may be used for beer, wine, spirits and food. Children ages 12 and younger are FREE! Minors accompanied by an adult are permitted until 7pm each day

What are the tokens good for?
Beer can only be purchased with tokens. Most beer samples are one token and full glasses are four tokens. All vendors will accept tokens instead of or in addition to U.S. money. Left over tokens will NOT be bought back. They are good from year to year.

Do I have to buy a glass?
No. If you are not drinking you do not have to buy a glass. Beer is only available in a festival glass or mug. Cider, mead, and wineries may sell samples in tiny plastic cups or have their own glasses for sale or will serve their product in any of the festival glasses. Cocktails and distilled spirits come in their own glasses.
