Actress Gillian Anderson Admits Lesbian Relationships, Opens Up ...

Following years and years of rumors about her sexuality and lesbian relationships, it appears actress Gillian Anderson is feeling more comfortable these days in admitting her bisexuality.

Back in March, the former X Files star first opened up to Out magazine about her sexuality after an ex-lesbian girlfriend died. Gillian, 43, told Out back then that she was involved in a lesbian love affair for ?a long time? during her high school years while also admitting to more lesbian flings after.

Fast forward to today, and Gillian is opening up some more about her personal life. Talking to The Sunday Times Magazine, the twice-married star stated: ?I was talking to Out about gays and choice, and the view that you can just choose not to be gay in some way.?

She continued,?I decided to talk about it now because someone with whom I was in a relationship a couple of decades ago ? a woman ? passed away about a year ago.? I was talking about her and, in the context of the gentle conversation we were having, I thought I would say that I have had a couple of relationships with women, but that wasn?t my experience because I did have a choice. I always knew I still liked boys.?

So how does Gillian label herself these days? Well despite having had several lesbian relationships, Gillian is hesitant to call herself gay.

?I always knew I still liked boys. Being gay was never something that I identified with 100 per cent, because I knew that for me it wasn?t the only way,? she said.? ?I haven?t spoken up about it before because there isn?t the same fear and stigma now that there was. But she had just passed and I just wanted to speak about it in a matter-of-fact kind of way.?

Gillian has three children, Piper, 17, from her first marriage to Clyde Klot, and two sons, Oscar, 5, and Felix, 3three, from her relationship with Mark Griffiths, a British businessman. Gillian was also married to Julian Ozanne from 2004 to 2006.
