American Idol Top 3 Recap: How did Lauren, Scotty and Haley Do?

It’s the final 3! If ever there was a time to bring your A-game, last night was it. How did Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart do? Will it be a country final or will two women battle it out for the title? Last night each contestant had three songs to perform. Round 1 consisted of the contestant’s song choice, Round 2 the Top 3′s song is chosen by Jimmy Iovine and Round 3 a song is selected by the judges. Round 1 Beyonce served as their mentor, who also later in the show debuted her ‘Run The World (Girls) video. Scotty McCreery chose Lonestar’s ‘Amazed’, and did a great job with the ballad. Out of the remaining three, he has been the one who has been the most consistent. Steven thought that he took the song up a notch, JLo praised him for how much he has grown over the weeks and loved his rendition, Randy thought it was a great song choice but felt he was pitchy in some areas.
